Usually I try to fly through the drive, up and back. Not this time. I lingered for awhile in a little town called Quartsite. Wow, what a quirky , crazy place. The locals were friendly, getting their drink on at "Silly Al's". I was fascinated by the metal artwork located in random spots through the main drag.
My favorite was the groucho marx cactus:

There really is something special about the South West.
